Wheatgrass & Maca Smoothie

Midday or pre-workout when I need an energy boost, I always add maca to whatever smoothie I make. Maca powder is known to boost energy, promotes fertility, increase stamina, and improve athletic performance. For all my fellow women out there, Maca helps balance your hormones and reduces pre-menstrual symptoms hence why you see Maca products in capsule form marketed towards women.

The green in this smoothie comes from the antioxidant-rich wheatgrass powder! Wheatgrass is 70% chlorophyll which promotoes a healthy digestive system (no one enjoys being constipated…) and combats colon cancer. If you’re not one to take wheatgrass shots, this powder form in your smoothie is the perfect way to up your chlorophyll intake!


1 banana

½ cup frozen mangos

¼ cup frozen peaches

1 cup almond milk

1 tsp wheatgrass powder

1 tbsp maca powder


Placing the banana and almond milk at the bottom of your blender, blend all the ingredients! Add more or less almond milk for desired thickness.
